Limited reissue of this obscure industrial-no wave record released on german label 90% Wasser in 2006. Due to reaction of people about "Rug", which quickly became an anthem for curious minds and unconventional dj's, both Robert Schalinski and Saulk from Mélodies Souterraines thought the rest of album should get more interest. 12 years later, we're happy to announce this reprint, which keeps original artwork and label design. Simon, The Exchange worked on remastering each tracks from original tapes.
Chen Yi aims for a collective approach of art. As an isolated group of humans/numbers operating directly from a secret place in Chelmsford (UK), they developed a personal and "bizarre" utilization of guitars, machines, voices, distortion, giving as result an unconventional regroupment of compositions amongst a lot of lost/unreleased recordings. This is likely what got John Peel interested which leads to an inexplicable CBS contract. More couldn't be finalized, because CBS suddenly pulled out of the contract.
