Trial - Video Warlord (7")
Trial was the synthesized teenage dream of Bill Tarant, a kid who grew up in boredom on the outskirts of Toronto. As Bill tells it:
“I wrote the lyrics to Video Warlord in 1980 when arcades were packed and new games were coming out all the time. This was the short era before PCs came out. It’s a story about an average, loner teenager that came alive and was adored in the arcade because he was the best.”
The instrumental B side is also a cosmic synth-heavy imaginary video game soundtrack. Very rare single, with incredible hand-made artwork.
