Holmes & Mancini were a power-pop / folk duo from Utica, New York who released two singles and appeared on several local talent shows on TV. Their debt to McCartney is clear, sounding like an upstate Big Star. “Whatever Happened” was their self-released single from 1979. The claps and rhodes on the track add a little magic.
