Unbelievable double-sider from the mysterious Shewry Stamper, released on Page Records from Johnstown, Pennsylvania in 1962. The A-side, Kansas City sounds like a Moe Tucker VU cut, with a primitive rhythm & blues feel. The B-side is a wrenching & raw downer garage ballad that wouldn’t sound out of place on the recent Ghost Riders compilation from Efficient Space. Highest recommendation.
